To confess Calvinism in Russia was a crime. Foreigners were allowed to practice their faith. In Tula many educated merchants were members of the Reformed church. Under Communism many Reformed people suffered martyrdom. After 1992 the church was reconstructed and in 1994 it was registered by the government. The Calvinist community in Tulsa confess a strict form of the Reformed fairh, only members can participate in Lords Supper. The Heidelberg Catechism, Canons of Dort and Nicene Creed were officially adopted.
